Surabaya. Competition has been held Mechanical Part XI by students of Mechanical Engineering FTI-ITS which is one of the major events Mechanical Engineering FTI-ITS. The event was held with 3 rounds, the preliminary round (02/02/2014), the semifinals (15.2.2014) and final (16/02/2014). The event was attended by all SMA / MA / equivalent Java-Bali which is divided into 14 regions and implemented in order to introduce Mechanical Engineering ITS to schools and conduct an activity that is education silux for high school students, silux especially in the field of physics mechanics.
The event was chaired by Arif Zikhrul was followed by 503 teams from Java-Bali, each team consists of two people. Preliminary round was held simultaneously in 14 regions that include: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Serang, Surabaya, Tuban, Kediri, Tulungagung, Madison, Jember, Malang, Bali, Madura, Yogyakarta. Activity at the time allowance not only do the problems, but the committee also provide an introduction to the campus of Mechanical Engineering ITS.
Of the 503 teams that follow allowance, only taken 40 teams as participants who made it through to the semifinal round. The participants who qualified were announced after the preliminary round held, namely at 18:00 pm.
The participants came a day before the semifinal round of the cost of accommodation, food and lodging incurred by the committee. They rest in Asrana Haji Surabaya for 3 days 2 nights. On February 14 evening Technical Meeting held in preparation for the Semifinal round on the next day.
The concept of this semifinal round which participants were given 9 pieces of matter by the committee are summarized in 9 plus 1 postal zip entertainment. Finalists Mechom Part XI is immediately announced in the evening when the inaugural event. Here the committee provides events to entertain the semi-finalists after completing the Semifinal round in the afternoon. This event filled with entertainment and games-games with attractive prizes. The participants were enthusiastic and enjoy.
From the results of the assessment team has been set 5 Finalists Problem Mechom Part XI which team Maker Problem of SMAN 3 Malang, General Treasurer team of SMAN 1 Jember, H2 team of SMAN 1 Starch, PBBSB team of Private Boarding School Bandung Nations, as well as a team of high school TRAINEE SBBS. Final Round is divided into two half again that half the panelist presentations, participants presented studycase settlement given by the committee. A second round of quiz.
Mechom Part XI are won by teams Author Problem of SMAN 3 Malang, with prize money of USD 8,000,000.00 and the trophy from the Governor of East Java. In addition they also had secured entry Mechanical Engineering FTI ITS without testing. Second silux prize was won by a team of the General Treasurer, silux the third winner is the team H2, fourth prize is TRAINEE team, as well as the fifth winner is the team PBBSB. Each of them earn a gold medal, while participants with positions 6 to 8 silver medal, as well as the positions 9 to 10 earn a bronze medal.
