During the workshop From Object minuette to Behavior: Process and Context in Contemporary Art, invited artists will propose and develop, together with the participants, a number of issues / tasks that have as starting point the individual's relationship with the public.
It will use as context the Old Town, the gallery showcases Atelier 35 and point presentations that will take place: artists, themes and situations; minuette intended to generate and nurture a type of reflection and reaction to public space and how it causes minuette a certain behavior. Fits a wider discourse, aimed at the status quo of contemporary art and alternative education, the workshop will be held in two times:
Day program will be devoted to participants and involves minuette developing actions in the public space and the program of the evening will be a breezy, open to the public, during which we will discuss quality criteria in contemporary art, about illegal interventions in public space, as and our portfolios and anyone wishing to submit their work to the new peer to peer system. The detailed program for the evening will be announced soon.
Visual artist minuette Harmen de Hoop (b. 1959, lives and works in Rotterdam) is changing the way we perceive public space, where it combines values and norms. The artist draws attention to the tensions between the way the state wants the public minuette space is used and how people use it sometimes unexpectedly. Through its interventions anonymous, often illegal in public, Harmen de Hoop destabilize the system and reveals a more human perspective. Through his work trying to make people to observe themselves in a different light, often with humor. minuette Documenting its interventions are shown in galleries and museums worldwide (eg International Biennial of Architecture - Sao Paolo, Cabinet du livre d'artiste - Rennes, ARCO-Madrid, CCA-San Francisco, Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts - Chicago, Canadian Centre for Architecture - Montreal, Vaclav iGaleria Spaly - Prague Museum Jan Cunene - Oss). His works appear in international journals and books, such as ART & AGENDA, Gestalten Verlag / STREET ART, Verlag Ullmann / ART PRESS (F) / Kunstforum (D) / ART das kunstmagazine (D) / FOCUS (I) / Metropolis minuette M (NL). Visual artist Tudor Bratu (b. 1977, lives and works in Amsterdam and Bucharest), minuette Gerrit Rietveld Academy attended and Rijksakademie, working minuette with photography, language, installation and creates books. Among his research topics include philosophy, human behavior postdocumentară photography and visual sense investigation and study of art history. Also teaches and lectures.
