In general the artifacts are caused in most of the ram, the gpu or works or does not work. If you already did make the reballing do not worry about the gpu. Since they did reballing (always think it was actually performed by art) there are almost no doubt lack of an address ram ... could be a single contact pins of a chip ... or the vga fully functional but bad luck for a ram badly welded ... in this case would simply go over each chip under infrared to see if it all comes back ok! In the case in which instead should be a ram own defective, will be replaced by the single chip. As you just said vasco, VERY reduce the frequency of ram with a specially modified bios and see if the fault disappears, in that case you're sure that a chip broken and will not be hard to track him down for the technicians who make reballing daily
