Hello everyone, I need some advice to resurrect a GTX 680 that creates artifacts on the screen trac lighting and that is not recognized by the driver n n programs (type afterburner, ntune, cpuz). I sent to a laboratory that deals with these situations, and after a Reballing and have replaced it with a new GPU have not been reached better. I was advised to put it in the oven, but I wonder - what use the oven if the two interventions have not had any benefit? - May depend on what artifacts then? RAM? Supply phases? What Else? - To find out if they did overclock, overvolt, VMOD, regular updates of the bios I hear the old owner. So, what can I do? What the exact procedure for the oven trick? I already did at the time with a 8800 GTX, but I noticed that he had made mistakes, trac lighting such as: - the electric oven (not ventilated) preheated and then goes off, I had left on (and still get positive results) - then the temperature was 180 degrees, now I've heard of 200-230 degrees - about 680 c 'a plate under the sink of the GPU which I think is the sink of RAM and another plate that covers the back of the card : should be removed or can I leave out? Whereas there are the thermal pads, be inclined to remove everything and thoroughly clean (with what?) The whole, before baking. In short, I'd trac lighting need a guide is the most accurate as possible. I did not find guides on the transaction despite someone they indicate the existence in this section Thank you all!
In general the artifacts are caused in most of the ram, the gpu or works or does not work. If you already did make the reballing do not worry about the gpu. For the oven trick you have to preheat the oven, temperatures more or less what you said yourself. You must free the card from all unnecessary components that could jeopardize everything, so you have to remove the plate. trac lighting To clean the thermal trac lighting pad you just alcohol and Cotton handmade t, or paper towel. The procedure could be useful trac lighting for other resolder various welds, such as pwm controller etc ... There should trac lighting be driving anyway, we do look ...

Since they did reballing (always think it was actually performed by art) there are almost no doubt lack of an address ram ... could be a single contact pins of a chip ... or the vga fully functional but bad luck for a ram badly welded ... in this case would simply go over each chip under infrared to see if it all comes back ok! In the case in which instead should be a ram own defective, will be replaced by the single chip. As you just said vasco, VERY reduce the frequency of ram with a specially modified bios and see if the fault disappears, in that case you're sure that a chip broken and will not be hard to track him down for the technicians who make reballing daily
